Terms

Last updated 8 October 2026

The agreement for making, publishing and sharing your Invitetale invitation — in plain words.

About these terms

These terms are an agreement between you and Invitetale for using Invitetale. By making an account or an invitation, you accept them. Our Privacy and Refunds pages are part of them.

Who can use it

You must be 18 or older and able to make a contract under Indian law. You sign in with your Google account; please keep it secure, because whoever can open it can edit your invitations.

What you get

  • Making and previewing an invitation is free, for as long as you like.
  • Publishing gives your invitation a link to share with your guests. It is a one-time payment, for one invitation and one wedding.
  • Your link stays live until one year after the last ceremony in your invitation. While it is live you can change anything and update it for everyone.

Price and payment

The price is in Indian rupees, includes applicable taxes, and is shown before you pay. The price shown when you start an invitation is the price you pay for it, even if our prices change later. Payments are taken by Razorpay; we never see your card, UPI or bank details.

Refunds

You can have a full refund within 7 days of paying, if the invitation has not been sent to guests. The details are on our Refunds page.

Your words and photos

What you put in your invitation stays yours. You allow us to store it, prepare it for the web (resizing photos, for example) and show it to anyone who has your link — only to run Invitetale for you.

You promise that you have the right to use your photos and words, and the agreement of the people named or pictured. Nothing in an invitation may be unlawful, hateful, or someone else’s work used without permission. We may remove content that breaks these terms or the law, and take the link offline until it is fixed.

Our designs

The designs, illustrations, music, animations and code of Invitetale belong to us or to those who license them to us. You may use them only as part of your own invitation. Please do not copy, resell or reproduce them elsewhere.

Fair use

Use Invitetale for invitations to your own celebrations. Do not try to break or overload the site, send spam through wishes, pretend to be someone else, or collect other people’s details from it.

Keeping it running

We work to keep Invitetale and your invitation available at all times, but cannot promise it will never be interrupted — for example during maintenance or a problem with a service we rely on. If something stops your invitation working, write to us through the Contact page and we will put it right as fast as we can.

Our responsibility

As far as the law allows, our total responsibility to you for anything connected with Invitetale is limited to the amount you paid for the invitation concerned, and we are not responsible for indirect losses. Nothing here takes away your rights under the Consumer Protection Act, 2019.

Ending

You can stop using Invitetale at any time and delete your account (My invitations → Delete my account), or ask us to. We may suspend an account that seriously or repeatedly breaks these terms, telling you why where we can. If we ever have to stop the service for a reason that is not your fault while your paid link should still be live, we will refund you.

Law and disputes

These terms are governed by the laws of India. If something goes wrong, please talk to us first — most things are solved in a message. Any dispute that remains will be heard by the courts of India.

Changes to these terms

When we change these terms we update the date at the top, and tell you by email if the change matters to you. A change never takes away what you have already paid for.
